Notre Dame
This is THE Notre Dame of Paris. There are many Notre Dame Cathdrals in France because it means "Our Lady" (sorry I know this is French 101, but I was really shocked when I saw other churches with this name). It is the setting of Victor Hugo's Hunchback of Notre Dame and it is also where Sainte Jeanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc) was "forgiven." It was built between 1163-1334. The gargoyles are really neat and most of the statues the revolutionaries destroyed have been replaced. And yes, the tree in front of the cathedral is a Christmas tree (I think Christmas might end around the 1st of February).
